Mary Evans dug into their unrivalled film stills stock collection to provide the perfect front cover image for the hotly-anticipated new album from The Good, The Bad & The Queen, the musical collective comprised of Blur/Gorillaz frontman, Damon Albarn, Clash bassist Paul Simonon, Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.
‘We provided the striking cover image from the 1945 film, Dead of Night of Michael Redgrave with a ventriloquist’s dummy, together with several other film stills used to illustrate the album’s accompanying booklet. Merrie Land was released on 16th November.’ London based photo library Mary Evans who represent the Studio Canal film collection stills were able to clear the rights directly with the film company.
