Solved – this collection is held by the Tate as highlighted on PAN in 2016

Solved: “I’m working on a pictorial biography of José Raúl Capablanca (1888-1942), a Cuban-born world chess champion active between 1909 and the late 1930s on the international stage. He travelled extensively for world-class tournaments in the United States, South-America, and Europe between 1910 and 1938 and he was featured regularly in leading newspapers. I’m particularly interested in reaching out to newspaper photo morgues in Austria, Britain, France, Germany, Czech Republic and the Netherlands in order to learn if there are any quality photographs that I could order for my project.

If I have already sent me image boxes on this then thanks! Otherwise please send image links to [email protected]

NEW Ongoing: Dear Will,
I was given your contact details by Ruth Hoffmann at Magnum.  I’m trying to track down the estate of photographer Larry Burrows – ITV request

NEW Solved: Hi I’ve just read that you have been able to find a phone number for Bryn Campbell, photographer. I tried to track Bryn down last year to thank him for inspiring my school documentary photography projects here in Portsmouth but with no luck. Would I also be able to have his phone number and if possible, email address please so I can contact him?

All photo answers to [email protected] Thanks !

SOLVED: Good morning, Mr Carleton,
I am writing to you because I have a The Cure fansite and I would like to post Mr Davidson’s wonderful photos of Robert Smith, the ones he took back in 1990. Since he unfortunetely passed away, I do not know how or who should I contact for that purpose.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

SOLVED: Hi Will
Can you help? Do you know who has taken over Foto Libra’s images
I was in a middle of a project when they sadly closed down and need to purchase the images I flagged for the project
Many thanks

SOLVED: Hello,
I’m not sure if I have the right contact.  I work for a tv production and we are interested in licensing less than 5 seconds from the is clip below.  Can you let me know who I can contact about licensing?  Please excuse the urgency, we are under a tight deadline.

Required: Good to talk just now and many thanks for offering to help.
I am keen to use the cover photo of Henry setting a world record for 2 miles at Crystal Palace in a borrowed Croydon Harriers vest.It appeared on Running Magazine  FEBRUARY 1987
I was chief athletes’ steward that day, and Henry had turned up without a vest!.
I borrowed one for him from one of junior athletes who was in a relay championship later.
Henry signed it for the young man after beating the record.
I am now trying to establish contact with the “lad” who must be about your age now. The photo in our local press might do the trick.
He could help us celebrate our cluB 100tn anniversary and maybe donate the vest to the NUTS archive due to re-open in Croydon early next year.
Thanks again and best wishes.
