Photographer Adam Patterson Joins Panos

Adam Patterson has joined Panos Pictures. Currently based in Northern Ireland, Adam has recently worked with the BBC’s Panorama programme in various capacities in Dubai, Chile and the UK. He was given a Special Mention at the 2010 World Press Awards for his role in getting a camera to the Chilean miners trapped underground which allowed them to document their situation.
Most recently, Adam has been documenting the way the Ulster Defence Association (UDA), a protestant paramilitary group, has been adapting to reality after the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. With sectarian violence once again flaring up in the region, Adam’s intimate portrait of former fighters is once again particularly poignant. View this portfolio at Panos
