This in from Panos: We are proud to announce that Joan Bardeletti has recently joined the agency.
Joan is a french photographer and videographer based in Barcelona, Spain. As well as creating images he also writes and produces further content in order to distribute his work to a wider audience: web sites, web-documentary, books, exhibitions, conferences, etc.
For the past eight years Joan has focused on the fast changing realities in Africa through a number of long term projects and press assignment: the “African Middle Classes” project, combining documentary photography with research work; “Small is Powerful”, investigating how small African companies foster development; or “Quotidien des Capitales”, a collective project embedded in african newspapers.
Joan received a World Press Photo award in 2010, a Getty Grant award in 2011 and an Innovation in Development Reporting Grant from the European Journalism Centre in 2014.
