London based editorial photo agency Panos Pictures have announced photographer Pascal Maitre as their first photographer signing of 2019.
They say: We are excited to announce that Pascal Maitre, one of the most important and influential photojournalists of our times, is joining Panos. Over the past four decades he has documented life, politics, conflicts, traditions and the natural environment in every corner of the world. Africa, where he has photographed in over 40 countries, is the region he is most passionate about. He is currently working on a major project in the Sahel while continuing to photograph his on-going series on ‘Electricity in Africa’ and the Baobab tree.
