Press photographers’ Christmas party raises £1,880 for children’s mental health charity

Press photographers in the UK met for their The Fleet Street Christmas Party 2021 in December at Fleet Street’s Ye Olde Cock Tavern. The bash included a photo gear raffle draw which raised £1880.96 for mental health charity Place2Be.

Event organiser photographer Jamie Lorriman sent PAN this update: “I am delighted to announce that The Fleet Street Christmas Party 2021 raised a total of £1880.96 for Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools. None of this would have been possible without the help of our extremely generous sponsors at Canon UK, Snapperstuff, The British Press Photographers’ Association, Sony, Fixation, Park Cameras, Imprimer Fine Art Printing, Fuji and Olympus, who between them donated prizes, including cameras, lenses, bags, pouches, books, tech gadgets and printers.
Although slightly down on numbers this year due to the pandemic, the annual Christmas bash at Fleet Street’s Ye Olde Cock Tavern attracted a number of regulars who were keen to get back to normal after 2020’s cancelled event. We hope to build on this year’s success and go bigger and better in 2022.”
