Fiona Gifford creator of the Renaissance Photography Prize told PhotoArchiveNews.com this morning: “In addition to the overall Renaissance winner and category prizes, there is a prize of a Nikon F6 camera, donated by Calumet, for the best image taken on film. Last year over a third of the 100 images selected by the judges were taken on film, so we hope that this will again be a draw for photographers. – as Brian Aris, one of our judges last year who gave me your details correctly predicted”
“The Renaissance Photography Prize is an international photography competition which raises money to support younger women with breast cancer. I founded the competition in 2007 when I was myself diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34 and am delighted that, four years on, it has become an established fixture in the photography world.”
“By entering, you get the chance to have your work judged by some of the top names in photography, be exhibited in the prestigious Mall Galleries in the heart of London and win over £8,000 ($12,000) worth of prizes.”
