US based stock photo, footage and music licensing agency Global ImageWorks has announced its licensing representation of Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, comprising more than 45,000 music and sound recordings created worldwide, from the1930s to the present.
“Smithsonian Folkways is a valuable resource for many different types of productions,” says Cathy Carapella, licensing representative for the catalog. “This unique collection of legendary recordings takes you across America and around the globe.” Smithsonian Folkways Recordings is the nonprofit record label of the Smithsonian Institution, the national museum of the United States.
