Getty Images just signed an exclusive global distribution deal for stock footage from Sony Pictures.
The Sony Pictures Stock Footage numbers 160,000 clips originally shot under the Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Television banners. The library represents the world’s largest collection of stock footage produced by a major motion picture studio. Footage includes traditional stock such as aerials, cityscapes, building establishers, process plates, and VFX elements as well as one-of-a-kind shots too elaborate for most productions to produce cost-effectively. Clips of stunts, pyrotechnics, and other extremely difficult-to-produce footage are included, as well as some of the industry’s best aerials, establishers, day/night matching shots, process plates, transportation, playback, landscapes, animals, modern military footage and more.
