The Judges: UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards

Ian Day, Assistant Editor of the Yorkshire Post is to be the Chair of Judges for the UK Picture Editors Guild Awards in association with Shutterstock.
The UK Picture Editors Guild committee deliberating the choices for Chair of Judges for the 2017 awards swiftly came to a unanimous decision that Ian was the perfect choice.
“It will be an honour to chair the judging process for this year’s awards” Ian Day said.
Ian is supported by nine equally distinguished members of the UK Picture Editors Guild in the quest to find the Shuttestock Press Photographer of the year.

The eligible period for pictures this year is for photos taken July 17 2015 to Midnight on October 31st 2016. The reason for this extended period is so that the completion eventually will run for a calendar year.

 

 

 

The competition will open for entries on Nov 1st and close on Nov 27th

Judging will be from December 2nd until Dec 18th
The awards will be on March 27th at the HQ of the Honourable Artillery company London
