KevinSmith The Mega Agency will be launching with an archive of 30 million images after signing a global licensing agreement with Newscom, a multi-agency archive of digital images.
Mega founder Kevin Smith (above) told PhotoArchiveNews.com this morning that the deal with Newscom, which adds more than 50,000 new images and other content assets daily, was great news for clients globally – and promised more big announcements in the coming weeks. Kevin said: “The message we keep getting from both photographers and clients is that they want something new – an alternative to what’s already out there. And that’s exactly what we’ll bring to the table.”
“Quite simply, Newscom’s archive is second to none,” he said.
“Being able to offer clients our own exciting new content, complemented by Newscom’s extensive archive, and new deals we’ll be revealing shortly, means we’ll hit the ground running. “Moreover, we’re proud to be partnering with such an innovative and forward-thinking company. I believe Mega and Newscom are a perfect match. This really is just the beginning of the Mega revolution.
