UPDATE: competition deadline until midnight on Thursday 21st April
The British Press Photographers’ Association have announce that The Press Photographer’s Year is now accepting entries for the 2011 competition at www.theppy.com and the deadline is midnight on Sunday 17th April.
Professional photographers can enter up to 80 images across the 12 image categories as well as up to 6 links to pieces of multimedia journalism using our restyled website (that itself is award winning).
The prize-winning images, along with the jury’s edit, will be shown at a major exhibition at the National Theatre on London’s South Bank from the 16th July and will run until 10th September. Open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 11pm and on selected Sundays throughout the summer, admission is free.
