Represented by Panos Pictures until his death this year photojournalist Tim Hetherington’s archive now lies with Magnum Photos.
Magnum have now released a photo feature called The Libya Negs: Tim Hetherington’s Last Images. They say ‘Tim Hetherington was committed to documenting the uprising against the Libyan government. In April 2011 he was tragically killed in Misrata whilst photographing the “Theatre of War”; young men acting out what they imagined the Hollywood version of how a rebel soldier looks and acts. These are the last images Hetherington took; 53 rolls of film with a medium format film camera, giving the images much greater detail and clarity’.
