On Saturday 16 July TopFoto hosted prima ballerina Dame Beryl Grey, who arrived to open the TopFoto Gallery?s most ambitious exhibition to date: The Glory of English Ballet, by celebrated photographer Colin Jones, covering Northern Ballet, English National Ballet and The Royal Ballet, from 1958 to 2000. Dame Beryl was full of praise: ?They?re terrific photographs. They give you a feeling of being backstage; all the agonies and the nerves before a performance and the relief?. Colin has captured every emotion a dancer has.?
