Trunk Archive: new shareholders = ‘new era in the agency’s development’

News Exclusive…

Premium stock photo agency Trunk Archive in New York have announced new shareholders.
Matthew Moneypenney, CEO at Trunk, explained the new structure to PhotoArchiveNews.com: “Trunk Archive was started by, and had mostly been owned by a consortium of Danish investors. This group recently sold their shares to the US based firm, Waddell & Reed and Ivy Asset Strategy Funds in a transaction supported by the executive team. Waddell & Reed has many other media and fashion investments including positions in Prada, Formula One, Richemont and Legendary Pictures. The transaction allowed the Trunk Archive executive team to retain or increase their equity the company. Our new Chairman is Thomas Tull, founder and CEO of film studio Legendary Pictures, and I remain on the board. We are looking forward to this new era in the agency’s development. Our partnership with Waddell & Reed further strengthens our commitment to top tier representation of image makers.”
