UK press photographers’ Xmas bash raises £2000 for LOOK charity

Great news into PAN this week, following the UK press photographers’ annual Xmas bash – 15th December 2023 – we can report the party raffle raised just over £2000 for charity!

Press photographer, Jamie Lorriman, who helped organise the evening sent PAN this report:
I am delighted to announce that The Fleet Street Christmas Party 2023 raised a total of £2080 for LOOK, a small charity supporting visually impaired young people and their families founded by a Welsh photojournalist in the early 90’s. The money raised will pay for five young visually impaired people to take part in the charity’s youth mentoring programme for one year.

As usual none of this would be possible without the incredible support of our extremely generous sponsors Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, Pret A Manger, Park Cameras, Snapperstuff, Imprimer Studio & The BPPA who donated over £6000 worth of prizes to the charity raffle.

This year’s party was bigger and better than the last and it was great to see so many new and old faces in the historic home of press photography, raising a fabulous amount for an amazing cause. It’s great to see that such a small act can have a huge benefit to so many people and with your help we will continue to support small charities for many years to come… lets do it all again in 2024!
