PAN had wind of the Sutton Images sale at the start of the year but we didn’t see any details – the LAT archive went from Haymarket last year sometime and we spotted the Sutton news on a general google trawl last night – here’s the info of the deal: ‘Motorsport Network, the owner of Motorsport.com and Autosport.com, today confirmed that it had acquired Sutton Images together with the Phipps Archive, adding four million images to complement its 2016 investment in LAT Images as part of a rolling strategy to build a photographic resource of unrivalled scale and pedigree.’
