Have what it takes to find the photos and illustrations for a TASCHEN book? We’re offering one talented picture editor a freelance research assignment worth $ 5,000.
The assignment:
Find a sampling of images for a book on inventions and trends—from the obscure to the ubiquitous. Your selection should cover the following five sample subjects:
3D glasses
Learjet
Frisbee
Little Tree Air Fresheners
Spring break
Your chosen images should:
demonstrate a clear understanding of TASCHEN’s unique aesthetic;
tell a narrative history in pictures;
come from sources that can supply hi-resolution art and grant copyright (no pictures off random Tumblr feeds!).
The grand prize is a $ 5,000 freelance gig to research all the photos in an upcoming TASCHEN tome. 10 runners-up will receive a $ 100 gift card for use at www.taschen.com or any of our stores worldwide.
