Fotofringe London exhibitor WENN has concluded an arrangement with Hilary Saltzman, the daughter of late James Bond film producer Harry Saltzman, to represent her private family photograph collection.
Saltzman landed the film rights to James Bond in the early 60’s and was responsible, with his partner Albert R Broccoli, for producing all the Bond films from 1962’s Dr No through to The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974.
WENN CEO Lloyd Beiny commented, “In this, the 50th anniversary year of the longest running film franchise in cinema history, Ms Saltzman is for the first time making a portion of her mother’s private collection of photos available via WENN. We anticipate huge international interest for this unique archive which includes photos taken on the set of the early Bond films, some charming family images and also the Saltzman family with royalty and at play with Sean Connery, Roger Moore and others. We gather a number of publications and documentaries are being planned to celebrate Bond at 50 and we expect this hitherto private collection to be much in demand.”
Hilary Saltzman said, “These cherished photographs that my mother took and preserved have not seen the light of day in over 30 years. I am thrilled to finally share them and am very proud of my father’s film legacy.”
