The photo industry was treated to another excellent evening at the UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards in London this week – thanks to the Guild and the event sponsors.
Congratulations go to Photographer Jeff Mitchell – a Getty Images photographer based in Scotland – who won three awards including Shutterstock Press Photographer Of The Year.
This is the 8th awards Photo Archive News has attended as media partner – the location, atmosphere, images and people really have made this into the go-to event for the editorial photo industry – thanks again!
Guild Chairman Alan Sparrow told PAN the morning after: “Another fun packed networking event surrounded the awards this year with 30 tables full of passionate image industry personalities”
Ben Pfeifer, SVP Editorial, Shutterstock told PAN today: “I was delighted to be there to celebrate the 40th year of the Picture Editor’s Guild. It really is the industry’s most glamorous event of the year. The excellence and creativity of the photographers who were shortlisted demonstrated such a high bar of remarkable photography in every category. It’s great to be able to share this evening with so many of our partners.”
