News UK photo archive launches Twitter feed today – photo collection insights include The Times, Sunday Times & The Sun


This in from PAN reader Marc Russell at the NewsUK photo archive – on the launch of their Twitter feed which will highlight the ongoing work at the photo archive including insights to The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun archives.

“Hi Will – attached are a couple of pictures recently found in the archive: Winston Churchill in the grounds of Number 10 Downing Street in 1941 and a group of children in Sierra Leone in 1961.

The archives of NewsUK are launching their own Twitter feed on July 1st 2015. It is to be called @NewsUKArchives and covers the archive collections of The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun newspapers. The collection holds over 50 million pictures, articles and documents and @NewsUKArchives will be a contact point for image buyers to have access to this fascinating collection. The Content Specialists at @NewsUKArchives are uncovering new material every day and unearthing gems that haven’t been seen before. Please follow @NewsUKArchives for daily updates. There will be a blog to follow, which will all link in with the Twitter feed.
