Beta Launch: Offset from Shutterstock – high-end image marketplace

Microstock photo agency giant Shutterstock announced in April they were preparing a new brand Offset – ‘a curated collection of extraordinary imagery’. Invitations to preview the site are now being rolled out to those who signed up to the beta site in April.
The new photo licensing platform is now ready and offers high-end content on a transparent licensing model. They say: Offset has an exceptional mix of photography and illustration, both commercial and editorial imagery from best-in-class artists who shoot for major advertising clients and world-renowned brands. Contributors are visual storytellers with a deep passion for their craft. Many are dedicated assignment photographers and illustrators who have never licensed their images as stock before.’
Currently Offset boasts more than 25,000 photos and illustrations from nearly 100 artists and agencies around the world. Recent additions to the collection include editorial and landscape photography from Michael Hanson, lifestyle imagery from Charles Gullung, food photography by Anna Williams and vibrant illustrations by Sam Brewster. Images are offered at two simple price points: $250 for small files and $500 for large, and include unlimited online and print usage. Offset has also begun accepting credit card payment for image licenses.
