A TV researcher summed up the typical 2015 feedback from visitors: “I thoroughly enjoyed Fotofringe. I met really useful people especially as that morning I had an interview for a job and got it! It was great meeting the representatives of the various photo libraries and asking them for help in person.”

  • […] Fotofringe London is the one chance in the year to see in one place, and during one intensely productive day, the majority of UK picture suppliers. Picture publishers and researchers know this with some coming over specially from overseas. The fotofringe team are speedily ploughing through paperwork: applications for tables; requests to move tables; requests to share tables; and applications from new agencies who haven’t exhibited previously but want to join in for 2016, the 6th annual fotofringe. Organiser Flora Nedelcu says: “Entry for picture users is free. We shall target picture buyers early in the New Year with a list of table holders so we shall need all available details for this. Some overseas agencies are finalising as we speak; they generally end up going past the early bird deadline because they have more to sort out, especially the ones on the other side of the world. Larger organisations tend to be in the same boat, and I have a strict rule of not publicising an agency if I don’t have their signed order form, even if I know they will be attending! There are a couple more previous UK exhibitors sorting out their final paperwork – perhaps they have twigged that my bark is (usually) worse than my bite, and they are banking on my not allocating their tables to the waiting list! However, fotofringe offers great value for money and is by far the single-most important, well-attended and valuable picture buyers event. I am allocating the tables in the next few days so anyone who doesn’t contact me ASAP is likely to find either that I don’t have a space to offer them, or they won’t have the choice of their original table, nor an option to move to a different space if they prefer.” […]
