PAN is very pleased to report that photo agency man Peter Dare who left London based photo agency UPPA/Photoshot last year after 34 years service has started his own photo agency called Dare & Hier Media specialising in commission photography for corporate clients – here’s a shot of a younger Peter from a 1982 UPPA staff photo we ran a while back, Pete’s the one far right with all the hair!
Peter has teamed up with another Photoshot ex’er Emma Hier – hence the agency name. PAN caught up with him over coffee (that’s G&T’s next time Pete!…) to learn a little more about his new venture:

Explain in a sentence what the agency does.
To make commissioning high quality photography cost effective and simple, irrespective of location.How far does your photographer network currently reach?
We have an extensive UK network but we also have photographers throughout Europe and are extending into Asia and the USA. Our most recent overseas assignments have been in Singapore and Bangkok.
What two essential skills do you look for when hiring a new photographer
Obviously high quality photography relevant to the nature of the assignment but also the right personality to relate to clients and represent Dare & Hier Media.Are you looking to expand your network of photographers?

1. Marshall Amplification contacted Dare & Hier Media to photograph their new range of Code 100 amps (above finals). Setting up a mobile studio at their UK headquarters we photographed various elements of the new range supplying images immediately to meet urgent deadlines.
2. Working with Wardour Communications for their client Gemalto we provided a range of creative portraits of Nicaise Ishimwe at her workplace (pages above) in Dublin. The pictures were for use in Gemalto’s ‘The Review’ magazine to accompany a 4 page feature interview which can be viewed and read on their site here https://www.gemalto.com/review

What’s next for Dare & Hier Media?
Expansion! This includes increasing our already impressive client base, our UK network of photographers and extending our overseas network to new areas. In terms of services we want to further develop our video and drone offering in particular.
