A dedicated website for the life and images of photographer Karsh has been launched.
From 1933 to 1993, Yousuf Karsh held 15,312 sittings and produced more than 250,000 negatives. This new website, likened by some to a museum, profiles those he photographed, and Karsh ’ s own extraordinary life. His notable subjects included Hollywood superstars such as Audrey Hepburn , Joan Crawford , and Humphrey Bogart ; artists including Pablo Picasso , Alberto Giacometti , and Andy Warhol ; Nobel Prize winners Albert Schweitzer and Linus Pauling ; four popes, from Pius XII to John Paul II ; royalty, authors, musicians, Canadian Prime Ministers and US Presidents.
