Tokyo, Japan based photo agency Aflo Images last seen on PAN in Dec 2022 just opened the Aflo Gallery in Ginza, an upmarket shopping area of Tokyo, which aims to promote emerging artists based in Japan.
They recently ran an exhibition to launch the gallery which PAN spotted and naturally wanted to know more. Here’s what they told us: ‘We made a group photo exhibition at the beginning of August in Ginza called “PLAYLIST Vol.1” to promote the site. The Playlist—a group photo exhibition that brings together fresh voices and bold visions from emerging photographers based in Japan. Like a playlist curated for a moment, a mood, or a memory, this exhibition brings together a collection of visual voicess —each distinct, yet harmonising in unexpected ways.
Playlist showcases the work of Francesco Libassi, Kirimare, Rintaro Kanemoto, Ichigoichie, Kayoko Nemoto, Hiroshi Yoshida, and Fukami Shinya, each offering their own unique lens on the world.’

‘Through documentary fragments, poetic stillness, raw spontaneity, and quiet observation, these images form a rhythm shifting between perspectives, styles, and emotions, yet held together by a shared curiosity and a fresh creative pulse. Presented in collaboration with Aflo Co. Ltd and hosted by CO-CO Photo Salon, Playlist is an invitation to look, feel, and find your own rhythm within the frame. We sell top-quality prints (both signed original editions and open editions) in a range of prices and sizes. All the prints are made at our own print lab called Aflo Atelier.’
