Japanese photo agency Aflo Images launches international website

I spoke with the picture news desk at Aflo Images this week over a video call catching up on photo content partners and the general photo scene in Japan.

PAN Note: Aflo Co Ltd is Japan’s largest privately-owned provider of still and moving imagery. Founded by photographer Koji Aoki in 1980, Aflo offers over 10 million still photos and videos for commercial and editorial use, sources and creates Rights Managed and Royalty Free images, videos and editorial content for clients worldwide 24/7.

Good to report all’s well and they were not too interrupted by Covid, one thing they have been busy with is the launch of their very smart new international website – PAN reader Mark Eite, the business development lead, at the agency gave me the details:
‘Aflo Images will showcase Aflo’s diverse image and footage collections, many of which have never been searchable in English before. As well as the entire output of Aflo’s own award-winning sports photography team, the site features content from major Japanese newspaper publishers, including the Mainichi Newspaper and Yomiuri Newspaper, archive footage collections, sporting bodies, such as the Japan Football Association and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Aflo’s curated collection from Japan’s finest photographers.’

Mark told PAN: ‘We can’t wait to show the Japanese collections that have never before been distributed worldwide through our new site. We have video and image collections including the Mainichi and Yomiuri Newspapers image archives, that were previously not searchable in English, and are confident that users will find unique content with us.’
