The British Pathé YouTube channel now boasts a new 20,000 newsreel archive uploaded from Reuters news agency.
The content, (never before seen on YouTube and free to view) sourced from the Reuters Video Archive, is made up of the innovative cinema newsreel series Gaumont Graphic (1910 – 1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926 – 1930), British Paramount (1931 – 1957), and Gaumont British (1934 – 1959).
This upload is the British Pathé YouTube channel’s largest release of videos in more than six years. It complements the channel’s existing content to create an unparalleled resource of 104,000 films from the years 1896 to 1978 representing the very best news coverage from the formative years of filmed journalism.
