The UK Picture Editors Guild have opened the call for images from photographers wanting to enter their photo awards – and great to see photo agency EPA Images are sponsoring the awards for the first time covering the News Photographer of the Year award.
The categories this year are:
Portrait Photographer of the Year
Arts and Entertainment Photographer of the Year
Sports Photographer of the Year
News Photographer of the Year
Essay Photographer of the Year
Business Photographer of the Year
Student Photographer of the Year
Royal Photographer of the Year
Young Photographer of the Year
National Newspaper Photographer of the Year
Regional Photographer of the Year
Photograph of the Year
Press photographer of the Year
The winning images will be announced at the awards evening in London on Tuesday June 30th.
Photographs must have been taken between January 1st, 2025 and December 31st, 2025, to be valid entries.
