Last week PAN spotted ABACA PRESS photography had been the subject of an afternoon for the French president Emmanuel Macron at an exhibition in Paris – we called them up and they sent us a few photos of the event.

The French president Emmanuel Macron loves photography and organised for the photographers of the comite de liaison (photographers who follow the French president) to produce an exhibition inside the garden of the Elysee Palace, Paris.

ABACA PRESS told PAN that three of their images by three photographers, Eliot Blondet, Raphael Lafargue and Tomas Stevens, were selected for the show. The President took time to speak with each photographer and pay attention to the main topics of our profession. “We talked about photography, AI , neighbouring rights and how photojournalism is important in our society. Our goal is to fight against fake news and photojournalism and photographic press agencies are the witnesses of the truth.”
