Fotofringe London 2017 roundup and photos

A busy day awaited both photo searchers and photo providers at Fotofringe London held last Thursday. Organiser Flora Nedelcu and her team put together another very smooth event which saw over 800 stock photo industry people talking images under one roof for the day  – thats a lot of image energy!  I met loads of PhotoArchiveNews.com readers and subscribers, good seeing you all and thanks again for coming along! …I will let you know the dates for next year as soon as Flora is ready….and rested!
Photographer Robert Piwko covered the event again – view a selection of his photos from the day below… and PAN took a few iPhone pics – enjoy!

Here’s Flora’s note to the registered visitors:

Dear friends and colleagues,

Wow. I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. Looking around yesterday at the 100 agencies from all over the world, 600 visitors throughout the day, it was clear that fotofringe London has become what one picture editor told me is now “the unmissable fixture on the international photo scene”.  We hope that you enjoyed the various competitions, prizes, refreshments and fun stuff – the dusting of sparkle on the real business of making sure that picture researchers and picture agencies understand and support each other’s requirements for compelling images at fair prices, helping everyone be better in business. Please do send me feedback.

If you did not manage to get to fotofringe on the day, and if you would a copy of the Directory, please reply with your mailing address and I will pop one in the post to you.

I will be emailing occasionally throughout the year to keep in touch with everyone, and of course I will email the date for the 2018 fotofringe London as soon as it’s ready to announce!

And lastly, a special thank you to Will Carleton of photoarchivenews.com for all the support for both fotofringe and the industry as a whole, and to our lovely Welcome Desk team – Ilona Benjamin, Rose Streatfeild, Ioan Nedelcu and Kaytlin Hunter.

With all good wishes for the weekend and the year ahead,

Flora x
