This in from a production company researcher looking to clear rights for the images used in this Guardian feature.
The images were licensed through Barcroft Media – who we reported was sold to Future in 2019 …and yes, we’ve dropped Future an email but there may be other images out there that you can provide …?
Update: 9 May: Future told us this
‘We have 3 images of King Juan Carlos on a hunting trip in Botswana, 2012 in our archive.
Unfortunately the images have a restriction warning, as we do not hold the rights to license them.
The credit we have on file is: Target Press/Barcroft. ‘ …’Future also checked with a Barcroft colleague and they do not have any contacts and believe Target press went into adminstration.
Target Press anyone? [email protected]
Hi Will,
Currently I’m working on the documentary for a German broadcaster. One subject we want to cover is Juan Carlos’ hunting trip to Botswana in 2012.
As a source, Barcroft Media is mentioned and I ended up to your website. Do you have that photo and maybe others of that hunting trip?
We would need the following right situation: all media (excluding cinema), German speaking countries, 5 years, 30 days online in advance.
I’m looking forward for your answer at your earliest convenience.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Answers on an email please which I’ll pass to the research: [email protected]
