Go See: Tim Page’s NAM Through the Lens of an Anti-War Photographer – Sydney

For any PAN readers based in Sydney, Australia the Leica Gallery on George Street has a Tim Page photo exhibition running until 15/08/2025.

TIM PAGE’S NAM: Through the lens of an Anti-War Photographer,  a special exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War.

They say: It is hard to think of another more wide-ranging, eclectic and historically important photo collection by a single photographer than Tim Page’s, spanning nearly 60 years of war and peace between roughly 1962 – 2022. As we move into an era of ‘post-truth’ and ‘deep fakes’, historical archives like Tim Page’s give us an anchor to verifiable truth and real social history with images we can trust, images that will always move us.

Page was more than just the most famous rock’n’roll war photographer in history – he hoped that by bearing witness to the savagery and injustice of war his would be a voice of peace. His lasting motto remains “the only good war photograph is an anti-war photograph”.
