
Deauville in France will be celebrating sports photography for three months from June 21st with free to access exhibitions and events including conferences and auctions running across the city during the inaugural Deauville Sport Images Festival.
• Conceived and supported by the City of Deauville, the festival will feature twelve unique exhibitions, freely accessible throughout the city. The festival runs over the three months of summer, staring with a grand opening evening, “La Nuit du Sport”, on June 21 at the Centre International de Deauville. The evening will see collective screenings and a prize-giving ceremony, in the presence of personalities from the worlds of sport and photography.

Photo agency AFP, who are an official partner to the festival, will show the agency’s photographers work featured in an exclusive exhibition called “A World of Sport” – ‘From the bustling streets of Lagos to the snow-capped peaks of Bolivia, from rugby on a floating pitch in Switzerland to horse races in Mongolia, each image captured by AFP’s photojournalists tells its own powerful story.’ Should be a great viewing!
