Industry People: David Theobald dies aged 70

Former Evening Standard and Evening News deputy picture editor David Theobald has died after a long illness aged 70,
“Theo”as he was affectionately known from Dulwich,London started his career aged 15 as a messenger boy and worked his way up to deputy picture editor,
In 1979 he moved across Fleet Street to the rival Evening Standard where he remained until 2003.
He is survived by his wife Pat son Anthony and  daughter Jane.
