Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Digital Asset Executive who will work alongside the Digital Asset Manager to support the development and maintenance of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, maintain up-to-date assets for Britain and England and work to ensure correct usage and associated metadata, all in line with VisitBritain’s digital transformation strategy.

Main purpose of the role

To work with the Digital Asset Manager and broader marketing team to manage the development and maintenance of the new DAM – providing a one-stop-platform for BTA staff and wider tourism industry to access compliant, on-brand assets. To support the implementation of the DAM across the organisation, through maintaining the quality and data of the associated assets to ensure correct usage and access rights for each appropriate user.

Key Relationships (and indication of level/nature of interactions)
Marketing division – Digital product team, PR & Content, Great, Brand & Campaigns team International network.
DAM contributors as applicable e.g photographers, industry contacts etc Platform provider support team.

Main Duties
• Catalogue and tag new uploaded assets, ensuring all assets have the correct metadata prior to publishing in the DAM system
Ensure the correct assets can be accessed by the appropriate user in line with VisitBritain usage rights policy.
• Work with external contributors and internal stakeholders to ensure assets and associated forms are uploaded in a timely manner.
• Assist with metadata enrichment and cleansing of legacy assets in line with agreed standards.
• Maintain up-to-date branded assets and maximise reuse, curating and highlighting new
content.
• Support with training and onboarding new users so they can make best use of the DAM
system.
• Monitor the Asset Library inbox and reply to internal and external requests.

Person Specification Essential knowledge, skills and experience
Requirement
• Knowledge of organising, cataloguing and tracking of assets and the importance of metadata for the searching and finding assets.
• Knowledge of DAM systems, library systems, content management systems (CMSs) or other large searchable databases.
• Awareness of copyright law, GDPR regulations and best practice of rights management.
• Proven experience of managing a collection of assets, and the data associated with them.
• Good spelling and efficient and accurate skills for metadata entry and keywording.
