Positive news into the PAN office this week from the Belgium photo space – a new collab has launched called The Photo Agency BV/SRL.
The new photo agency brings together photographer Xavier Lejeune and Kristof Pierc of the photo distribution agency Content Curation.
With more than a 100 million images online at Content Curation Kristof has built up a solid image portfolio in the Belgian market supplying news, political, celebrity, royalty and event images from distribution agreements with the likes of DPA Picture Alliance, EPA (view this one on PAN), SIPA USA, SIPA France, Christophel Collection, ABACA Press, Camera Press, AKG Images, Starface, X17 Agency, IMAGO. Xavier will bring the in-house production dimension to the collab and his own extensive photo archive. Xavier will manage the entire production side of the business covering news shoots and photo shoots for corporate clients.

They say: ‘A mindset driven by a concern for responsiveness and efficiency also unites the two photography enthusiasts. Kristof’s strategy is based on the “Lean & Mean” approach applied to photo distribution/production. This is reflected in the platform, which is very intuitive, modern, simple, and minimalist.’ “Photos come to me from anywhere in the world via an application that makes all available photos visible to clients. It’s all cloud based. This allows us to quickly offer large volumes of photos without having to purchase expensive servers. Our model allows us to quickly make extremely competitive collections of news images available.”
On the production side, Xavier is also driven by a commitment to simplicity and speed. Both in execution and delivery. “My principle is to process my photos and send them to clients within three days of the shoot. Furthermore, I’m expanding our network of photographers to increase our responsiveness when needed. The idea is to align ourselves as closely as possible with the client’s needs, while minimising their time and being as efficient as possible.”
