We reported a new photo partnership between Mirrorpix and the Mega Agency in December 2017 – today Mega is to begin syndicating content outside of the UK from the Daily and Sunday Express, and the Daily Star and Daily Star Sunday, purchased by Mirrorpix owner Reach from Northern & Shell in a £127 million deal earlier this year.
“We’re delighted Reach has put its trust in Mega to expand this hugely important syndication deal,” said Mega’s Chief Content Officer David Leigh, a former News Editor and Foreign Editor at the Mirror, and Head of News at the Daily Express. “We have a great working relationship with the team at Reach and look forward to further promoting and monetising their brand across the territories in which we syndicate their content.”
Content Sales Director for Reach, Fergus McKenna, said: ‘We’re delighted to be extending our live syndication partnership with Mega to encompass all of our National news titles. Mega have proven themselves as brilliant partners who really understand and appreciate the value of the content our exceptional journalists produce. Mega are a fantastic complement to our sales teams here in London and Manchester and I look forward to continuing to develop our partnership going forwards.”
