• World Press Photo: Magdalena Herrera, Director of Photography Geo France, will be chair of the 2018 Photo Contest Jury. and a reminder the exhibition of the 2017 winners is in London at the moment.
• VII photo agency have a few new member-photographers.
• Bill Shapiro has joined Getty Images as Editor and VP of Consumer Media.
Shapiro joins from Fast Company magazine where he served as Director for Editorial and New Business Enterprises. Before that, Shapiro spent 18 years at Time Inc. where he had a diverse career including as the editor of LIFE magazine, and as the founding editor of LIFE.com.
Based in New York he will have editorial oversight of Getty Images’ consumer platform.
• Billy Robertson has joined the Press Association as Sports Partnerships Manager. Billy joins from sports photo agency Action Images (part of Reuters) where he held a sales role for 10 years.
