Picture Editor celebrates year long 16 week photo desk placement

PAN loved this project overview montage by UK Picture Editor Claire Woodall celebrating her year long 16 week photo desk placement at Channel 4.
Claire, a seasoned photo editor, started in the industry as a Picture Researcher with photo agency Superstock in 1998 moving into picture editor roles at BBC Good Food Magazine, Olive Magazine, Sky, The Telegraph most recently freelancing with Channel 4, Channel 5; Redwood and Virgin Media.

Claire told PAN: “On 1st May 2019 I arrived at Channel 4 to begin a 16 week assignment as Digital Picture Editor on the All4 platform. Little did I know then that this would grow into an entire year in which I’ve been lucky enough to work on major projects including the launch of Channel 4 on BritBox and the refresh of the broadcaster’s content on Apple TV.
I have learned so many new skills and would like to say a huge thanks to the brilliantly talented team led by Alexandra Wall. Here’s a small selection of my work above.
Now that my C4 contract has ended I am currently on the look out for freelance or permanent picture editor work, which I know is scarce due to the lockdown. I am also using this time to brush up my skills by taking a few online courses in graphic design and coding.”
