Hiya Will,

From 29th July to 2nd August, Herbie Knott (76) and friends James Richardson (45) and his son Alex (14) cycled 101 hilly miles around Anglesey to raise funds for Herefordshire Wildlife Rescue (HWR), a small Bodenham-based charity caring for injured and orphaned animals and birds. HWR fills a gap unattended by the RSPCA and veterinary practitioners, enabling life for many creatures that would otherwise be left to die. To date, Herbie’s team have raised over £2250 for this great cause.

In the course of the ride they enjoyed great adventures, not least getting completely lost in the middle of the island and battling awkward unexpected hills that didn’t quite agree with Herbie’s bike’s grumbling gears. But there were superb highlights, not least camping next door to a travelling circus at Benllech.
