Great news to kick our week off here – The highly-acclaimed UK Picture Editors Guild has signed a two year deal with Shutterstock, a leading global provider of commercial imagery and music, to be the lead sponsor of its annual awards. The awards will be known as the UK Picture Editors Guild Awards in association with Shutterstock.

“Shutterstock is thrilled to support the UK’s premier press photography event, the UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards, and honour the admirable work of photographers and photojournalists who are recognised at this wonderful event every year,’’ said Ben Pfeifer, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Shutterstock.

“Shutterstock’s involvement with these awards allows the Guild to develop and evolve them with confidence,” said UK Picture Editors Guild Awards Chair, Alan Sparrow. “The awards continue to grow in stature and remain the premier competition for press photography in the UK. This is good encouragement for our industry and for all those associated with the awards.’’
