Splash News London Opens Video Digital Production Unit

Hollywood-based entertainment and celebrity news content provider, Splash News, has expanded its worldwide operations with the formation of a new video digital production unit in its London office.
Gary Morgan, CEO of Splash, told PAN: Morgan said: ‘We hit a billion streams worldwide and the UK is a key component of this video service expansion. We had tremendous success in 2010 with the direct to consumer video show SNTV. Splash has a long tradition of supplying all the major UK publications with content and many of our reporters and photographers have been trained on Fleet Street – myself included. Packaging this content and experience into our successful digital video service with more content relevancy to the UK market is essential.”
Paul Cochrane, Splash’s Head of Digital, said: “This is an exciting move for Splash News TV and our digital growth. Our new unit in the UK will allow us to be even more pro-active on breaking celebrity news stories. And, we’ll be able to provide a highly localized service for our UK clients. Localization is important to maximize the content that our 3000 photographers around the world are gathering every day. Our London news desk has been generating a lot of stills and videos of UK-based celebrities and this gives us a great opportunity to incorporate that fantastic footage into our programming.”
