Congrats to UK freelance sports photographer Kieran McManus who is nominated in the Photography Portfolio category of the AIPS Sport Media Awards 2025 edition for football coverage he shot for Shutterstock.
Organised by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), which counts 161 member countries, the global character of the Awards has been evident since the very first edition in 2018. Each year, entries have come from at least 100 nations, reaching a record of 140 in one edition (2023), and a total of 166 countries across the first seven editions.
• The longlist represents the first judging stage and is based on the average ratings of the AIPS panel of experts, the Executive Committee members and the members of the Jury.
• The Awards feature a diverse range of categories, celebrating excellence across written, video, audio and photography. These include Writing Best Colour Piece, Writing Best Opinion Column, Video Athlete Profile, Video Documentary, Audio/Podcasts, Photography Portfolio, and Photography Sport Action.
