PAN is sad to report this morning that Jean François Leroy the founder of photojournalism festival Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan has died.
This year’s festival, the 38th edition (detail below), had only just begun running 29th August to 13 September with the pro week starting today.

Notification of his death was announced via the festival instagram feed with a great photo of Jean by Stephan Vanfleteren and a short message.
