United Archives acquires sports photographer Rolf Kosecki archive – 1990 onwards

The very well organised photographic archive on site – look at the press passes on the right!

The photo archive of photographer Rolf Kosecki who was present at numerous World and European Championships and 13 Olympic Games has been acquired by German based photo collective United Archives.

PAN note: The analoge work from 1990 until 2010, a collection of an estimated 150.000 slides and negs was acquired with all rights by United Archives. This comes along with a representation deal regarding the digital files. Rolf Kosecki died in December 2022.

In 1990 Rolf founded his own agency – Sportbildagentur Kosecki. As a photographer he specialised mainly in sports, events, creative and reportage. His work has won him several awards, including the “Sports Photo of the Year” competition.

Rolf Kosecki has captured unique and special moments with his camera.
In sports, his images range from archive shots of past successes of famous athletes to great portraits of athletes, snapshots and pictures of exciting head-to-head races. Rolf Kosecki stunned with his photographic skills on all levels and was present at many events, competitions and contests. His picture motifs are impressive and expressive, the moment of light and shadow perfectly captured.
