Watch AI filmmaking: Google launches Flow …with VEO 3

Google has launched a new AI powered filmmaking tool called Flow – take a look and understand the tools some creatives and filmmakers are experimenting with at the moment, it’s getting interesting and all this on top of their VEO 3 launch which enables voices to be added to images.

They say about Flow: ‘It’s built by and for creatives, and it’s the only AI filmmaking tool custom-designed for Google’s most advanced models — Veo, Imagen and Gemini. Flow can help storytellers explore their ideas without bounds and create cinematic clips and scenes for their stories. It’s early days, and we’re excited to shape the future of Flow with creatives and filmmakers.’

• Flow is available to subscribers of Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans in the U.S., with more countries coming soon.

And here’s how the creatives are using it:

Above film: Dave Clark is an award-winning filmmaker focused on embracing new technology as part of his filmmaking. He used AI to develop two of his most recent short films, “Battalion” and “NinjaPunk.” His newest short film “Freelancers” uses Google’s AI and other tools to tell the story of two estranged adopted brothers on similar quests.
‘Google approached me and asked if I would be down to collab with their research team to create a film for Google I/O. Not only would I have access to Flow, their latest AI filmmaking tool, but I would also be responsible for giving feedback on the product itself. The filmmaker in me was excited for the challenge, but the technologist in me was living out my dream in helping mold a next-generation product for a new era of filmmaking.’
