Founded 40 years ago, European Pressphoto Agency B.V. (rebranded as EPA Images) is one of the world’s leading photo agencies. The production of EPA Images is based on its worldwide network of visual journalists, in addition to the production of partner agencies. Most notably, its eight shareholders, all leading news agencies in their respective countries, contribute to the production: ANA-MPA in Greece, ANP in the Netherlands, ANSA in Italy, Agencia EFE in Spain and Latin America, Keystone-SDA-ATS in Switzerland, Lusa in Portugal, MTI in Hungary, and PAP in Poland.
EPA Images provides an average of more than 2,000 news photos per day and is published by a broad spectrum of international media. The EPA archive contains over 11 million images dating back to the early 1990s. In addition, EPA’s video service currently offers more than 80 raw news videos per day.
Production is managed from our editorial headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, with additional editorial desks in Bangkok, Cairo, Tokyo, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.
