Collections Cataloguer – Photography
Part Time Fixed Term Contract.
£16,000pa (£26,600 FTE).
RHS Lindley Library, London

21 hours per week (3 days)

An exciting opportunity to catalogue the RHS Lindley Library’s photographic collections on the history and practice of horticulture, gardens and gardening, as part of a large-scale digitisation project to increase access to our heritage collections.

The photography collection sits within the RHS Heritage Collections and comprises of prints, transparencies, glass negatives and lantern slides, covering horticultural practise and personalities, plant portraits, gardens and gardening, and staff and activities of the RHS. Generously funded by the Heritage Lottery this two-year, part-time post will catalogue designated collections that will be made available to the public via an online collections website, launching in 2022. In addition, a collection care element to this role will ensure the long-term preservation of this valuable material.
