Adobe launches ‘Generative Fill’ – AI text to image prompt

Generative Fill, a new AI tool using Adobe Firefly (see PAN Firefly report) has launched in Photoshop.

‘The new Firefly-powered Generative Fill is the world’s first co-pilot in creative and design workflows, giving users a magical new way to work by easily adding, extending or removing content from images non-destructively in seconds using simple text prompts.’

New features include:
• Generative Fill: Available in Photoshop Beta, this Firefly-powered tool accelerates creative workflows and enables creators of all skill levels to marry imagination with creativity by replacing a selected area with imagery generated from text prompts, all in seconds.
• Adjustment Presets: Changes the appearance of an image in just a few steps, for an instant, completely unique output.
• Remove Tool: Eliminates hours of manual compositing by automatically filling backgrounds while preserving the integrity and depth of objects.
• Contextual Task Bar: Reduces the number of clicks and makes the most common functions more easily accessible with workflow recommendations.
